Im Nadiia from Ukraine. Working at Amanotes pushed my artistic side in extra activities and daily works, which were not that artistic on default. Surrounded by music all the time makes your everyday job full of cool emotions and binds you up with your team like a family, the family you need in a foreign country. Year-End Party made me a ""Queen"" and made me sure about my choice to join Amanotes. I hadn't expected to be voted as a ""Queen"", thanks for those who ignored my poor dancing skills and voted for me. As long as you are enthusiastic and devoted, Amanotes won't let you down.
Hi, I'm Robert Vu, Head of Publishing. Coming back to Vietnam after years of working abroad, I had a chance to meet Amanotes’ co-founders and was immediately impressed by their vision of connecting people with music and technology. I grew the publishing business from a small portfolio of 3 members into a piercing force disrupting the mobile industry with a growth rate of nearly 10 times every quarter. I emphasize teamwork as the core success factor for my business, and the right mindset would get you anywhere you want.
I am Yaro from Ukraine. The thing I expected when moving to Vietnam is that business culture should be pretty hierarchical, with most decisions to be made by managers without much explanation. I was surprised to see that in Amanotes it differs a lot, with lots of open discussions and fully transparent feedback. As for me, Amanotes has a unique balance between rules and chaos. You know your role and goals clearly, yet you can initiate changes at any time. You have your working hours, yet you can take your team to work from a cafe for the whole day if you need a refill. The HR team will start organizing the overseas trip a few months before to make sure that everyone gets there, but you can arrange a Dota 2 competition just in an hour and make it happen at lunchtime. I definitely would recommend trying yourself in Amanotes. This could be a life-changing moment.
Hi, I'm Nga, from Publishing Team. Amanotes is the most incredible company I have worked for. What can I say? The environment is comfortable and wonderfully dynamic. I'm extremely proud of working with my team, Publishing team has brought me tons of challenges to conquer with my lovely and kind colleagues. Amanotes also has a unique culture where I can burst out a song in office and receive a big applause no matter how bad my voice can be. I have learned many things about music and entertainment, like piano, singing, boardgame, poker after a long day of work. I enjoy my time at Amanotes so much, and there is nothing I can say but just how great it is !!!
"Hi, I'm Nikolina Sekulic from Croatia. When searching for a job in Vietnam, I wanted to work in a place with a unique story, creatively fulfilling environment and curious people with diverse knowledge. I was so impressed by the startup story of Silver and Bill and Amanotes also checked all of these boxes, so here I am, an Amanoter! I’ve always been a very indecisive person but working for Amanotes enabled me to turn indecisiveness into a more diverse productivity when it comes to creating different concepts and approaches to advertising our products!"
I'm Nga, Vietnamese and the HR Manager. Amanotes is quite special to me. I didn't intend to switch job, however, I found out a music-tech company in VN was so cool that I decided to apply (at least once in my life, I have to fulfill my curiosity how it looks like to work in Amanotes or they just say so). I thought the interview was a chance to gain experience, that's all. However, a 2-hour meeting and the enthusiasm of team members did knock me out. After the small talk with the CEO, Amanotes gave me an offer without asking to know my current package, surprisingly happy enough, I accept the offer without asking for more benefits. This is how my destiny with Amanotes begins. And things happen for a reason I believe.
Hi, I'm Cameron from the USA. As an International employee, working abroad can be difficult if you do not have the proper support system, on my first day at Amanotes I had a musical orientation, which is standard for every new employee. This orientation allows new employees to see the fun you can have at Amanotes and the closeness of all the staff. Moments like this orientation and the other daily interactions with co-workers such as sudden music jam sessions and after-work activities such as music class, board game nights, and dinner with co-workers make the move to another country easy. Apart from the personal enjoyment from the company culture of music and closeness, I also received a large amount of support from co-workers, simple things such as knowing the organization of the company, to the complex components of learning our method to musicalize games. Co-workers at Amanotes always are there to help
Hi! Alicia there After spending a few years studying abroad in the States and taking some first jobs, I met my mentor/coach at Amanotes (current Head of Publishing - Robert Vu). He completely transformed my mindset and has been there for every step of my career maturity. I once thought I did not have the skills or interest in management roles (I was more on the technical side), but thanks to him and the team, I have found a love in managing, training, and building people, just like what he has done for me. Together with the hardworking, intelligent and constantly knowledge-seeking team members, we have built a strong team from scratch. I will for sure never forget this milestone of my life, working at Amanotes and contributing to something great.
Hi I'm Jheric, the Head of Marketing. Moving to Vietnam, and joining Amanotes has been life-changing. Coming from a musical country (The Philippines), Amanotes reminds me of home - people singing, and playing instruments almost every day. Working with people from diverse backgrounds, and people who are experts in their fields, continue to be a great learning experience.
I'm Daniel, the Head of Finance at Amanotes and I am from the United Kingdom. Amanotes is about speed, science, culture, and fun. And the music goes all the way through it. On my first working day, I was delighted to see that music was used to energize teams all across the business. At Amanotes you will get to work on implementing new cool tech, contributing ideas that go all the way to the top, and learning new skills from all your colleagues around you. We are a young team that leverages our energy and passion, never saying no and encouraging challenges at all levels.
Rahul here, from India. One thing I love from Amanotes is the freedom and flexibility to work from anywhere. They help a lot, especially if you'd like to focus on a specific task, brainstorm with your colleagues or get into a meeting and work things out with different stakeholders, there's always that option. After joining Amanotes I learned that adaptability is key. Being an expatriate working in Vietnam comes with a few interesting challenges especially the language barrier. I've found myself in many meetings where we need to go back and forth to ensure that everyone is on the same page. Challenge accepted. Now I'm cool.
I'm Nghi, an Engineering manger. It must be Music Night which is the internal music show held every 3 months is the most impressive thing in our company. We enthusiastically practiced for weeks to prepare for the performance. I would never expect that these tech guys sitting next to me every day can become such amazing singers on the stage. This activity really makes us closer and make an office feel like home. What's the coolest skill I've learned? Running Marathon. (I know it may surprise you). After joining Amanotes for a month, I knew an internal Marathon group by chance and got the invitation, then I said ""I'm in. Why not?"". We motivate and encourage each other to run and work. This little thing maintains my healthy work-life balance. At Amanotes, we work hard and play hard
I'm Yen, from Creative team. The cool thing in my company is that people always know how to surprise you. I remember my first working day at Amanotes, almost one year ago, in May 2019. They welcomed me by a small cozy celebration full of enjoyment. They gave me an amazing performance of the song ""What makes you beautiful"" - One Direction with guitar and cajon. They made me special. Joining Amanotes I learn how to adapt, upgrade and improve myself. When working in a start-up, especially a fast-growing start-up like Amanotes, every day is a new challenge.
Hi, Im Silver, Co-founder of Amanotes. I started with Amanotes from scratch doing basically anything from recruitment to product & marketing. I now oversee product strategies at company level as well as the operations of several key products/businesses. I am always proud of the impacts that Amanotes made to millions of people around the world everyday. People ask me whether I'm a great leader. No, I'm not. I mean there is no leader or boss in Amanotes. Everyone is a leader, ownership, and freedom is encouraged.
I am Bryan from Singapore. I joined the Amanotes team from the early stage, and I was inspired by the Founders’ vision that ”Amateurs can Music too !” I am privileged to work with such a passionate and talented team, who worked really hard with a heavy dosage of fun, to strive to bring music to more people in the world. At Amanotes, everyone is equal, we encourage transparent communication. I don't have my own room, I don't have my own plastic name board on my desk. And neither do other managers. I’m proud to see the Amanotes Team bring the Vietnam spirit to conquer the global market with a very strong ""music” culture in every corner of their products & operations.
Hi, I'm Bill, CEO and Co-founder of Amanotes. The major success of Amanotes is built on a solid bedrock of previous failures. Before Amanotes, I have established some startups but they didn't perform well until I met Silver, a brilliant guy who shared the same vision with me. I am also very proud to be able to work with many other young talents who are ambitious to change the world through music. Nothing is happier for me than seeing families & friends getting together through our music apps, amateurs playing amazing notes, investors being satisfied with our company’s fast growth. If you go with the guy who has failed many times, you will know how to avoid the mistakes. If you go with the successful guy you will learn how to do the right things. If you go with Amanotes and me, you have both.
